Mr. Mansoor Khan at SIBM Bengaluru

Bangalore, Karnataka, January 23, 2014 – “Anything you do exponentially is a disease” was rightly explained by Mr. Mansoor Khan, the well known director of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, but this was not in respect to the film industry. Mr. Khan was addressing the budding managers at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru on January 23, 2014. The session was a part of Leadership sessions conducted in the college by various stalwarts of different industries. He spoke about the trends in energy usage and how it affects the whole ecological system. He gave a different perspective about economics, which is explained thoroughly in the book ‘The Third Curve’ authored by him.

The students were enthralled and got a completely different view on the reasons for the current slowdown in the economy. They came to know about quantitative as well as qualitative growth. He had a different view as to how a century of industrial revolution has depleted oil, also how oil drives everything in this world from transport systems, to industrial production to agricultural sector to all forms of derived energy. His talk had truth in it and can be signaled as a warning for the corporate world to sit back and think about redefining growth.

One of the professors from the college, Mr. Atish Dasgupta said, “Individuals can always control themselves but corporates need to change and remodel growth”, after the thought provoking talk.

Neel Gala, a student in first year, MBA said that Mr. Khan has planted the seed of change of perspective for the future and the talk left him spellbound.
