Ah, Well, where do I begin?
Instead of the usual classes,
the teachers, the friends, the cafeteria, so on and so forth, Allow Me to
elaborate with Detailed Comparisons on one of the important components and
comparisons at SIBM, Bangalore-COMMITTEES
Committees-they run the show
here, literally, figuratively and physically every single day-why not make it
more fun by comparing them to things that we cannot live with everyday-CARS
Academic Program Committee: They are the guys who literally control everyone
else’s lives here. They control your attendance; bring about changes in your
timetable, academic structure, so on and so forth. They are like your
AMBASSADOR-used by the people, with red beacons, to formulate policies and
govern our lives-our Politicians.
Admissions and IT Committee: These are the gadget freaks (by default). They help
regulate Internet Connection and help the management with the admission process
with the next batch. But, for their sheer love of gadgets and next generation
updates, they are your XUV 500.
Alumni Committee: They are the ones who bring you back home. They make
coming back to college pleasurable. They are ones who help bring back memories
of THOSE DAYS-THOSE FUN DAYS. For that sheer nostalgic value, they are your
Maruti 800- the first car of many Indian Families.
Conferences and Events Committee: These are the people who organize events and get
things done-they talk the talk and walk the walk. They get their hands dirty
and get things done to ensure that when the college hosts an event, it does not
lose face. For their sheer ability to move mountains, they are your Toyota
Fortuner- go anywhere, do anything.
Extra-Curricular Committee: They are the folks who help you have fun on, off and
everywhere around campus. Without them,
life would be so boring. For Sheer Entertainment and Fun Value, they are your
BMW Z4 Roadster Convertible.
International Relations Committee: They
bring fun of a different kind to Campus. They bring the exotics (food,
lifestyles, WOMEN) on campus, host international students and make the college
famous. They are your typical Imports-the AUDI R8
Placements and Corporate Relations
Committee: They are the people who
ensure People have arrived in Life. They
take care to ensure people do well in life by getting them into good profiles
in good companies. The Mercedes E-Class brilliantly represents them.
Public Relations and Media Committee: They are your Attention Grabbers-they ensure nothing
misses their eye and nothing misses the spotlight. For sheer eyeball effect,
they are your Lamborghini Gallardo.
Research Committee: They are the studious types. They do all the studying
and condense the information into an easy format for the benefit of others.
Functionality matters more for them than form or design. For just that, they
are your Honda Accord.
Social Responsibility Committee: OTHERS MATTER-NATURE MATTERS-everybody and everything
else but themselves matter to these people. They sacrifice anything and
everything for the benefit of the society at large. For Sheer Sacrificial
Value, they are the Mahindra Reva.
Social Welfare and Disciplinary
Committee: They are the ones who
ensure everybody else and everything else behaves on campus. They are the one
who take care of Food, Health and Hygiene on Campus. For Sheer Policeman work,
they are your Mahindra Bolero.
I hope that my small
introduction into these committees and the work they do has done some justice
